At BlueBee we place the highest importance on data security and information governance, we are therefore pleased to announce that we have successfully achieved this major milestone. The ISO 27001:2013 certification is an independent confirmation of the strength of BlueBee’s information security management system (ISMS).
Independent audit firm BSI has certified that the BlueBee Genomics Platform and the associated processes for development and operations are compliant with ISO 27001:2013.
“At BlueBee we take security very seriously. As genomics-related data is very sensitive, a wide range of security features are a cornerstone of the platform” comments Hans Cobben, CEO for BlueBee, “The BlueBee genomics platform has been designed from the bottom up with confidential patient information and multi-layered data security in mind. Having independent audit firm BSI affirming our alignment with the ISO standard is an important ratification of our commitment to maintaining the highest level of security and confidentiality.”
ISO 27001:2013 is a widely adopted global security standard that outlines the requirements and best practices for information security management systems and provides a systematic approach to managing company and customer information. In order to achieve the certification, a company must show it has a systematic and ongoing approach to managing information security risks that affect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customers’ data.
