Today we announced the BlueBee Genomics Platform and its associated processes for development and operations have successfully obtained the Information Governance Statement of Compliance (IG SoC) which includes compliance with the NHS Information Governance Toolkit.
The NHS has developed its own set of rigorous information governance principles to ensure a consistent approach to the management of personal data. Organizations working with the NHS and who process patient data within its secure N3 network are required to meet these IGT requirements.
BlueBee places the highest importance on data security and information governance, and with that already obtained certification for ISO 27001:2013 in October of this year. These external validations provide independent confirmation of the strength and reliability of BlueBee’s information security management system (ISMS).
Achieving IG SoC Compliance which includes compliance with the NHS Information Governance Toolkit reinforces BlueBee’s commitment to regulatory compliance and to delivering a trusted and proven security solution for our customers and in particular to NHS diagnostic laboratories. The BlueBee genomics platform has been designed from the bottom up with confidential patient information and multi-layered data security in mind. Receiving this second affirmation by an independent accreditor is an important confirmation to our commitment of maintaining and delivering the highest level of data security and confidentiality.
We are very excited about this achievement. Try the BlueBee Genomics Platform for free and see for yourself!
