Today, IBM shared some of its clients’ success stories with global partners, that drive the global cloud momentum based on Bluemix, at the PartnerWorld Leadership Conference (PWLC) held in Las Vegas.
We are honored to have been called out by IBM as a participating company in this Bluemix announcement.
IBM Bluemix enables developers and Business Partners to create solutions to meet the vastly growing needs to effectively manage the deluge of data, and to enable quick analysis to expedite business decisions. Bluemix was officially launched for IBM’s channel business in July 2015. Impressively, 18 months later, there are now partners in more than 100 countries that are using IBM’s network of 54 Cloud Data Centers to bring solutions to their end clients and BlueBee is one of them.
Since its launch, BlueBee has been committed to tackling one of the most computationally challenging domains in the industry:
To achieve this successfully, partnering with the right solution has been of critical importance, and BlueBee chose Bluemix as a platform for success. Bluemix’ bare metal cloud servers, IBM Aspera, and IBM Cloud Object Storage for its cloud-based accelerated genomics platform enable us to provide a fast and affordable human genome data processing and analysis solution to our clients. We are already seeing the success, one of our clients has achieved a seven-time improvement of its internal process by reducing the total time to disease diagnosis from five to two days.
Personally, I was very excited to participate in the press conference at PWLC in Las Vegas on February 14th, where I had the opportunity to give an overview of our journey with IBM Cloud and seeing the success our clients are experiencing.
As a company to be able to contribute to patients’ outcome, whether it is disease diagnosis, improved treatment decisions, or even disease prevention, is hugely satisfying. We are in the process of leveraging the Bluemix partnership and its underlying technology to advance many more of our client companies’ projects and missions that have the goal of improving healthcare via precision medicine.
We are very excited about this achievement. But don’t just take our word for it, try the BlueBee Genomics Platform for free and see for yourself!
